THE home of Mr. and Mrs. Pringle, at 2122 W. 109th St., is an Americanized type of Spanish architecture, and it is a house of unusual interest and beauty.

The details of outdoor features, trees, walks, vista and surroundings were as carefully considered as the layout of the rooms.

The sun room faces the beginning of an attractive garden, which secludes itself behind the house, and in its turn will screen the garage with its shrubs and vines.

It is very compact, with no waste room. The living room is apart from the working section of the house, with a fireplace that is the keynote of its “hominess.”

The dining room, with French doors to the sun room, has a buffet with drawers deep enough to hold large asbestos table pads. It is separated from the kitchen by a cozy breakfast nook. The built-in case and table make it a very convenient service pantry when the occasion demands.

The kitchen, with its door to front of house, just six feet from the main entrance door, is designed for maximum efficiency. There is no pantry, but an ample pot closet, with space for cleaning utensils and table leaves, with a commodious built-in cupboard.

A first floor lavatory is an added convenience.

A carefully planned laundry, with washing machine and water faucet over the gas stove to fill boiler, space for vegetables and canned fruit storage leaves nothing to be desired in the basement.

An oil burner furnishes the heat for the house.

A Kernerator removes the necessity of garbage cans.

The second floor has three comfortable bedrooms, two of which have French doors to porches for outdoor sleeping when desired.
