The Hetherington Design Dynasty exhibit features the life and work of gifted architect, John Todd Hetherington, along with those of his son, Murray and grandson, Jack – three generations of talented architects – for the indelible mark they’ve made on the built environment of our historic Ridge district. The Graver-Driscoll House was a stop on the Beverly Area Planning Association’s 2022 Home Tour of all Hetherington buildings.

For over a century the Hetherington name has been associated with the highest aesthetics and standards in design. For a while in Chicago newspaper classified ads, “Hetherington” was even used as a descriptor, with other architects’ designs promoted as being in the “Hetherington style.”
