Building Four New Homes In Ridge District

At a cost of approximately $16,000, a two-story seven-room residence is being erected at 10220 Leavitt Street, by W. J. Blanchfield, 1830 W. 95th Street. The structure is being built of brick and stone and has been under construction for three weeks. It is expected to be ready for occupancy by July 15. Mr. Blanchfield recently purchased the lot, which is 50 by 125 feet in size, from the Halsted Street State bank, as trustee, for a reported consideration of $6,250. Burns and Schaller, 1836 W. 95th Street, were the brokers in the sale of the property.

Frank Kirsch, 1836 W. 95th Street, is erecting a two-story eight-room residence at the southwest corner of 103rd Street and Irving Avenue, at a cost of approximately $20,000. The building has been under construction for three weeks and is being built of brick with stone trim. It is expected to be ready for occupancy by August 1. The property, which is 65 by 125 feet in size was recently purchased by Mr. Kirsch from the Halsted Street State bank, as trustee, for a reported consideration of $6,000. Burns and Schaller, 1836 W. 95th Street, were the brokers in the sale of the property.

Excavation is expected to be started within ten days by J. M. Rutherford, 7933 Rhodes Avenue, on a two story, eight-room residence at 9847 Hamilton Avenue. The structure will be built of brick and stone and will cost approximately $18,000 to erect. It is expected to be ready for occupancy by August 1, and will rest on a site 50 by 125 feet in size. The property has recently been purchased by Mr. Rutherford from William Suikman, 5700 Mozart Street, for a reported consideration of $5,000. The brokers in the sale of the lot were Burns and Schaller, 1836 W. 95th Street.

C. J. Hudell, 7735 Prairie Avenue, is erecting a two-story, eight-room residence at the northwest corner of 100th Street and Hamilton Avenue, at a cost of approximately $18,000. The building will be of Dutch Colonial design and will be constructed of brick, trimmed with cut stone. THE residence of J. D. Pattison, 2282 W. 115th Street, is an unusually attractive example of the small bungalow type. It is built of reddish brown face brick with a vari-colored shingle roof. It contains many of the most modern features. It has a natural fireplace, a bath tiled in orchid, electric refrigerator, gas heat with a hot water boiler, a gas garbage burner, steel window frames and roll screens.

The living and dining rooms and vestibule are finished in rough plaster with a sand finish. The sun porch is glazed and finished in brick. Provision has been made to finish the attic into three chambers.
